Drama writing residential course at Ty Newydd

A course designed for writers who have some experience of writing for theatre or radio and who wishv to deepen their understanding and practice.
This will be an intensive writing week with opportunities to create new work as well as develop existing scripts. Professional actors will be involved with the process at the end of the week so that writers can hear their scripts read.
GILLY ADAMS is a freelance director, workshop leader and editor who specialises in working with writers to develop text for theatre and radio. She
was the Artistic Director of the new writing company Made in Wales for more than a decade and subsequently worked for BBC Wales where she was
Director of the Writers’ Unit, produced and directed plays for Radio 4 and Radio Wales and pioneered the story process for the digital storytelling project, Capture Wales.
CHARLES WAY has written over fifty plays, many of them for young people, and his work has been produced all over the world. These include Sleeping Beauty, The Search for Odysseus and A Spell of Cold Weather – which were all nominated as Best Children's Play by the Writer’s Guild of Great Britain. He lives on the Welsh borders where he has spent most of his creative life.
